AT THE 2022 AGRICULTURE SHOW
The opportunity to meet customers for the Duyck brewery

For Mathieu Duyck, of Jenlain beers, the show is a way to meet consumers.

It's hard to miss the Jenlain beer stand, which occupies 36 m². Behind the bar and the pumps, Mathieu Duyck relishes. “We are in direct contact with consumers who come from all regions of France,” he slips. Around the stand, different accents resonate. Without going too far, it's a safe bet that the supermarket closest to each of the visitors to the show will offer a few bottles of Jenlain, the brewery having grown with the rise of mass distribution. “We are very present in the region, many people know us, when we come to the show, we also take advantage of all these stories that people tell us, just now there were, let's say two seniors so as not to upset, who said that, coming from a wine-growing region, it was with Jenlain that they discovered beer", says the man who today represents the fifth generation of brewers to keep the company alive. The show is also an opportunity to tell the story of the brand. At a time when local and French consumption is gaining followers, it is important for the company to remember that it is a small SME, nestled in a village in the brewing region of Nord and Pas-de-Calais. .
